The 0870 changes are the major amendments and will be implemented nationally on 01 st January 2008. All calls made to 0870 numbers will cost the caller the same rate as if they were calling a standard geographic number such as 01733 etc.. Any rebates currently paid to the recipient of the call will be replaced with ppm (pence per minute) charges similar to 0800 costs.

*0845 numbers may change in a further 2 years time however this has not been confirmed.

A new range of 03 numbers will be implemented however these will be charged at a similar rate to 0800's 0870's and standard geographic numbers.

The main benefits of using NGN's i.e. future proofing and portability and disaster recovery can also be achieved by using a special geographic number that we can provide that acts as a NGN.

If you operate using a 0870 number or a series of 0870 numbers and are concerned you may not only lose your rebate but incur charges please contact us so we can help you find a positive solution
