CPS basically works in that the local BT Exchange is programmed to automatically recognise that calls from your telephone lines need to be routed via a specific supplier
Carrier Pre-Select (CPS) in simple terms is an option which allows you to keep your existing lines and telephone numbers but the line rental is still paid to BT.
Plan B will manage all your call costs which will benefit you in lowering your monthly call spend significantly

If at any time you wish to override the Carrier Pre Select service you can do this by applying a prefix which overrides programming at the Local Exchange.
This allows you the freedom to route different calls through alternative suppliers. Say for example if you wish to route calls back onto BT you just prefix your call with 1280
